Scoring, Creasing and Slitting

Samples of cards indicating examples of scoring and slitting

Scoring is the process where a groove is placed into the sheet of heavier paper (like a card stock) so that folding along that groove is neat and clean.

We also now offer Creasing which is similar to scoring but yields much better results especially on digital printing where there is absolutely no cracking of the ink along the fold. Creasing has eliminated all cracking even on heavy 130# card stock and is our recommended choice of finishing treatment when folding your San Diego printing project.

Slitting is also available on anything you would need to insert a business card into and comes standard on our pocket presentation and capacity folders.
